The Alvin ISD Education Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for students and teachers. Established to provide financial support through scholarships and grants, our mission is to foster academic excellence and innovation. We strive to ensure that every child receives the resources they need to succeed, every day.
Founded with the belief that education is the cornerstone of a thriving community, the Alvin ISD Education Foundation works tirelessly to bridge the gap between potential and achievement. Campus Grants

What is an Campus Grant: A Campus Grant supports team initiatives that promote collaboration, strengthen relationships, and enhance overall effectiveness. These grants fund projects designed to improve team-building, professional growth, and departmental success. By encouraging collaboration and creativity, they create positive change within teams while aligning with broader campus and district goals.
Who can apply:
  • Principals

Grant Application Process & Guidelines

Applications OPEN: October 31, 2025

Applications CLOSE: January 15, 2026 (No extension will be granted)

*ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER CAMPUS MAY BE SUBMITTED*

DETAILS

 

  • Award Details: Up to $3,000
  • Announcement: Recipients will be recognized at the Alvin ISD Employee Recognition Ceremony
  • Funding Availability: Funds available after July 1, 2026
  • Purpose: Supports special projects not covered by regular budgets or personal funds
  • Examples: Incentive programs, school gardens, campus projects
  • Submission Requirements: Online application and grant budget form
  • Limit: One application per campus/department

HOW TO APPLY

  • Click “Sign In With Your Institution” to log in with your Alvin ISD Google account
  • Fill out the Application and submit

GRANT COMPLIANCE

  • Use the awarded funds for the purposes intended
  • Provide the Alvin ISD Education Foundation with:
    • Photo Op – check presentation AND 7 photos of grant in action
    • Communication – we request to be recognized and tagged in all social media posts and district communications to parents and community partners
    • Video – 1-2 minute video to be sent to the Foundation by April 1 of awarded year stating how the Foundation has been beneficial to your project
  • Be prepared to demonstrate the grant in action at a scheduled Alvin ISD Education Foundation board meeting.
  • Commit to sharing your grant process experience at the new employee orientation for the upcoming school year

GUIDELINES

  • Specify if the grant is for Elementary or Secondary
  • Complete grant budget form (Vendors do not need to be from the District’s approved vendor list.)

HINTS

  • Proofread your application
  • Clearly define the purpose of your project, its benefits to students, and how it will be implemented and evaluated
  • Specify the number of students/teachers impacted by the grant
  • Avoid acronyms
  • Campus field trips, incentive programs, school gardens, and campus projects are a few possibilities

What is an Innovative Grant: An Innovative Teaching Grant funds creative projects that go beyond typical classroom teaching to make learning more exciting and effective for students. We are looking for fresh ideas that inspire students and transform how they learn, while still meeting district goals and educational standards.

Applications CLOSE: January 15, 2026 (No extension will be granted)

DETAILS

  • Award Details: Up to $1,000
  • Announcement: Recipients will be recognized during the Alvin ISD Winner’s Wagon Celebration
  • Funding Availability: Funds available after July 1, 2026
  • Purpose : To drive creativity and innovative learning by making learning exciting and engaging for all students.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Submission Requirements:
    • Online application
    • Grant Budget form
    • Principal Approval form
    • Technology Approval form (Required for Technology-Related Requests) DUE TO TECHNOLOGY BY: January 8, 2026
    • Continuation Grant Evaluation Form (Fill out ONLY if you were a recipient of last year’s Alvin ISD Education Foundation Innovative Grant and wish to continue the grant for the upcoming school year.)

GRANT COMPLIANCE

  • Provide the Alvin ISD Education Foundation with:
    • Photo Op – check presentation AND 7 photos of grant in action
    • Communication – we request to be recognized and tagged in all social media posts and district communications to parents and community partners
    • Video – 1-2 minute video to be sent to the Foundation by April 1 of awarded year stating how the Foundation has been beneficial to your project
  • Be prepared to demonstrate the grant in action at a scheduled Alvin ISD Education Foundation board meeting
  • Commit to sharing your grant process experience at the new employee orientation for the upcoming school year
  • Notify the Foundation if you transfer to another campus or if you leave Alvin ISD
    • Funded grants may be transferred between campuses with approval from both campus principals.
    • Grant recipients leaving Alvin ISD forfeit funds, grants, and any purchased materials.

GUIDELINES

  • Use the awarded funds for the purposes intended
  • Awarded grant recipients may apply for a Continuation Grant for the following school year by completing a new application that outlines planned changes.
    • Continuation Grants are funded for a maximum of two years.
  • Individual teachers and teaching teams employed by Alvin ISD may apply for grants if they are involved in student instruction.
  • Each grant application must be independent; identical grants will not be accepted.

Teacher / Para / Principal Scholarships

Alvin ISD Education Foundation Teacher, Paraprofessional, and Principal Scholarships are designed to support current full-time teachers and paraprofessional staff members who wish to further their education at an accredited college or university. This scholarship is not intended for previous recipients, PhD candidates, or training programs.

This scholarship is available to:

  • Teachers pursuing a first master’s degree in education or a related field
  • Teachers seeking Principal Certification (must already be accepted into an accredited
    program)
  • Paraprofessionals pursuing a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field

Additional requirements:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in, or planning to take, a minimum of 3 credit hours per
    semester
  • Recipients must commit to remaining with Alvin ISD for at least one year following
    the semester in which funds are spent
  • Funds must be used within one year of receiving the award

 

  • The application will open on December 1, 2025.
  • Deadline: February 13, 2026 at 5:00pm
  • (Please note that we are unable to accommodate any extensions to the deadlines.)

Student Scholarships

The Alvin ISD Education Foundation is thrilled to award 10 scholarships to each high school, celebrating graduating seniors who meet the Foundation’s criteria. We are proud to support our students’ bright futures and their pursuit of higher education.

Services Department Impact Grant

The AISD Education Foundation Support Services Department Impact Grant provides funding to
support district departments in launching new initiatives, expanding existing programs, hosting
events, or introducing innovative ideas that enhance the overall department experience. These
grants are designed to strengthen team connections, improve workplace culture, and foster a
sense of belonging and pride among employees. By investing in the people and programs that
keep our district running smoothly, the AISD Education Foundation Department Impact Grant
helps ensure every staff member feels valued, supported, and inspired in their work
environment.

Criteria for Evaluation:
-Project Clarity: Clearly defines the project, its goals, and expected outcomes.
-Impact Scope: Demonstrates broad or meaningful impact on staff, students, or the department
as a whole.
-Innovation: Introduces creative or effective new ideas or improvements.
-Alignment with Department Values: Promotes a culture of pride, safety, and belonging.
-Sustainability / Long-Term Benefit: Shows potential for continued benefit beyond initial
funding.

Who can apply: Support Services Department heads
Grant application opens on Oct 31, 2025 and closes on Jan 15, 2026.

If grant is awarded, Alvin ISD Education Foundation requires the following compliance:
1) A photo op at the presentation of the check
2) Alvin ISD Education Foundation to be recognized and tagged in all social media posts and
district communications regarding the grant
3) Photos of the grant in action (minimum of 7 photos)
4) Video (1-2 minutes) of the grant in action to be sent to the Foundation by April 1 of awarded
year stating how the Foundation has been beneficial to your project
5) Must be willing to present grant in action at selected Alvin ISD Education Foundation board
meeting
6) Must be willing to share experience with the grant process at New Employee Orientation for
the upcoming school year
